Description
The bastion called Fort La Reine was originally an artillery battery known as the White Horse bastion, built by order of Vauban in 1694 after the first Anglo-Dutch shelling against the city. This work was raised to its current level during the work of the fourth increase in the city (1737-1744) who gave the curtain that connects the door to the castle with St. Thomas. He then took its current name. The bastion facing the National fort built from 1689 on the rock of L'Islet, which is the nearest town
